The Salt Lake Temple was crowded with wedding parties. It was noisy and joyous as friends and relatives waited for newly married couples to emerge from the temple and begin the picture taking. When we finally got inside, it was peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. We enjoyed the beauty of this remarkable edifice that took 40 years to build.
This is the Draper, Utah temple. Again, we got there in the late afternoon and after a tour of the rooms inside, finished in the evening. Such a beautiful place.
Our stay with Allison was not all "churchy". We went to the movies with the boys and saw Mr. Peabody. A lot of the jokes were based on history that the kids didn't understand. Example: In talking about Marie Antoinette, Mr. Peabody announced that you can't have your cake and edict too. I actually laughed out loud in several places. We also went on a walk with the dogs. It was windy, but I'm sure that Utah wind pales in comparison to Chicago wind. It's a baby step.
Notice that I have my jacket on, Tristan and Hudson have on sweatshirts, and Jack thinks it's summer.
We enter the Missionary Training Center tomorrow at 10:30 AM.
